Avon 3-Day

Dear Friends and Family,   

I am writing to let you know that I, along with my fiancé Tim, am participating in Avon's 3-Day Walk against Breast Cancer over the weekend of May 17-19. We will walk 20 miles a day from Fitchburg to Boston.

Tim and I are walking in support of my Aunt Judy, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in December of 2000. Judy has recently finished chemotherapy and is now taking preventative medicine. Judy, like many others, has given a good hard fight, and we expect her to beat the disease.

This walk, one of the largest and best organized in the country, raises millions of dollars that go towards the fight against Breast Cancer.  Breast Cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death for all women. Both the cause and the cure are a mystery. Currently one million women in the United States have this disease and don't even know it. In fact, they most likely will not know about their potentially fatal disease for another five to eight years.

Tim and I are both personally responsible for raising $1,900. We need your help. Would you be willing to give us your support by making a donation while we do our part for this important cause? When making a donation, please keep in mind how far we will be walking and how hard we have to train.

Pledges are tax deductible and can be made online, sent in by mail, or given to me directly.
